68The Amazing Cornish Maize Maze is located just a few miles over the Devon/Cornwall border, when coming into Cornwall on the A38. It's just off the main road and well-signposted.
A maize maze is strictly a seasonal activity, which is loads of fun whether you're 3, 13, 30 or 93!
Each year, the Amazing Cornish Maize Maze takes on a new theme - and the theme for 2010 was Clowns.
Once you've exhausted yourself in the maize maze and cracked the puzzle, there's plenty more to do on site. You can enjoy a Cornish cream tea or a genuine Cornish pasty in the cafe, there's also a picnic area (with further mini-mazes) or you can visit the gift shop to buy a souvenir of your fabulous day out at the farm. Feel free to enjoy the farm trail which you can explore at your leisure, admiring the range of rare breed animals which are found grazing in the fields, including Tamworth pigs, Saddleback pigs, Aberdeen Angus beef cattle and Dorset Horn sheep.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay, then Smeaton Farm offers farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation or there's a camping field. Smeaton Farm is an organic farm of 450 acres, run by a farming family.
Smeaton Farm is a 4-star AA establishment, with 4 rooms available for bed and breakfast costing from £30 per person/per night. Three of the bedrooms are doubles, with the fourth being a family room. Evening meals can be served, if pre-booked, at a cost of £20/head, including wine.
If you're a camper, then the year-round camping site offers pitches at £10-15/night, to include one pup tent. There are toilets and showers on site.
No pets can be allowed on site as Smeaton Farm is a working animal farm.

How to Get to The Amazing Cornish Maize Maze
The Amazing Cornish Maize Maze - Open mid July-September
Location: Smeaton Farm, Pillaton, Saltash, Cornwall, PL12 6RZ
Opening Times vary from year to year slightly, but the Amazing Cornish Maize Maze is usually open daily from mid July to the first week of September each year between the hours of 10.30am and 5pm, with the last entry being at 4pm. From then until the end of September, weather permitting, the maize maze is open at weekends.
Always phone ahead before visiting a seasonal attraction, to check their opening times.
Torch Nights in the Maize Maze: Every year, weather permitting, special torch-light nights are held, usually on the first two Saturdays in September. Torch nights run from 7pm to 11pm. Bring your own torch and enjoy getting lost in the dark. A super spooky atmosphere, plus there's a BarBQ on site.

Family Ticket for 2 adults and 2 children £16.
Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead and you must poop scoop!
