Rick Stein Shops in Padstow Cornwall

Rick Stein is a TV chef and celebrity chef who has built up a small empire in Padstow, Cornwall. When you walk around this small fishing village there are Rick Stein Shops everywhere in Padstow - as well as other businesses he owns.

I've written this list so that visitors to Padstow who want to visit every Rick Stein shop, eat Rick Stein food, or just walk past Rick Stein's hotel, will know where they are!

Rick Stein shops in Padstow are so numerous, the locals even call the area Padstein!

Rick Stein's hosted many a TV series where he's gone out on local fishing boats to catch his ingredients, followed by the recipe being cooked in Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant. He really keeps his filming local to the area, rather than just being a TV studio chef.

Rick Stein's first business in Padstow was a restaurant that he opened in 1974 - and he's been winning awards for his restaurants and cooking since 1984. Now, in total, Rick Stein has Many businesses in Padstow, including:

• Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, plus the Seafood Bar, Rick Stein's Fish & Chip Shop and Fish & Chip Restaurant and Breakfast Takeaway, Rick Stein's Cafe and even a Seafood Cookery School.
  

So it's no surprise that he also has a mini empire of Rick Stein Shops in Padstow, ranging from a well-stocked delicatessen on the quayside, to a patisserie baking home-made cakes/bread on the premises, to a gift shop round the corner stuffed to the gills with locally made, home made, artisan and high quality goods.

And now he's started opening businesses around Cornwall, such as the new Rick Stein's fish & chip shop in Falmouth on the south coast.. and more!

Rick Stein's Gift Shop is a magnet for tourists and daytrippers alike - fabulous for finding the perfect gift for a special occasion, yet also offering lots of interesting products for your own home, or just a souvenir of your visit to keep for yourself... or, maybe you'll buy something fabulous for a friend, then when you look at it later you'll simply decide it's far too lovely to give away and buy them a bag of fudge instead :)

Rick Stein's Gift Shop covers popular products ranging from gifts, clothes and home, to gallery and jewellery. You'll find everything from wicker baskets, to art reflecting the local seascape. Practical and indulgent, sitting side by side on neat shelves.

There are prints, as well as framed pictures and art available - including some fabulous new litho prints from the Jill Stein Collection, a full A2 size and professionally finished.

The gift shop is located right in the heart of Padstow, just a few feet from the Golden Lion pub (famous for it's Obby Oss) and next door to Rick Stein's Cafe - an ideal spot to sit down for a slice of home-made cake and a cappucino, while taking a fresh peek at what you just bought in the Gift Shop. You really can find and buy just about every food type from Rick Stein when you're in Padstow, so discovering there's also a Rick Stein's Patisserie should come as no shock.  You'll find Rick Stein's Patisserie in the heart of Padstow, close to the Harbour.

Here you can buy freshly-baked pastries, cakes and bread, all home-made on the premises.

Rick Stein's Deli is away from the centre of Padstow, located out on South Quay, near the start of the Camel Trail and by the two large harbour-side car parks. Here you'll also find Rick Stein's Fish & Chip Shop.

All the produce is high quality, a lot of it local produce - as well as some hard-to-find ingredients that you might find in one of Rick Stein's popular cookery books.

Rick Stein's Deli is popular with local daytrippers and world-travelling tourists alike.  You'll find a huge wet fish counter, stocked high with locally caught fresh fish, crabs, lobsters and more - as well as a fabulous selection of ready meals (ideal if you're on holiday and self-catering, or simply deserve a treat). 

The prices are in-keeping with a lifestyle business, run by a celebrity chef, in one of the most sought-after locations in a tourist hot-spot, so a little more than your local supermarket would have charged, but you certainly don't need a Ferrari to be a customer.  Check it out, see what you think.

Overall, the deli has fabulous presentation and an awesome range from things you can use everyday at home, through to special treats to savour.
